Wild Haven Nature Area

Wild Haven Nature area is one of the areas owned by the Columbia Audubon Society. Sitting north of Columbia, Wild Haven is a plot of 103 acres. Most of the nature area is mature forest, though a small section of prairie lies beyond the trees. A stretch of the Hinkson Creek trickles through the woods at Wild Haven. CAS volunteers have been working to make Wild Haven more walkable and restore it to its original beauty. Volunteers have built benches, carved dirt paths into the forest and cleared invasive species out of the timber to let native Missouri plants thrive.
